Job summary

Nifty Fifty’s is looking for an Expediter to oversee the quality and appearance of our fried items and guest dining experience. You will prep, set up the expo station, and coordinate serve orders from the kitchen to ensure timely, high-quality plates.

You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, uphold sanitation standards, and contribute to our friendly, family-like atmosphere. Flexible hours and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Skilled with knives, slicing equipment, and fryers.
• Excellent organization and multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Commitment to sanitation and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Prep, set up, and maintain expo station.
• Maintain product presentation, quality, and cook times.
• Coordinate serving of orders from kitchen areas to best serve customers.
• Ensure sanitary and safe food handling per health standards.
• Clean and sanitize work area throughout the shift.
• Prepare and cook fried foods; manage fryers.
• Instruct servers to deliver completed orders.
• Help with daily and weekly cleaning tasks.

Job Overview

As an Expediter at Nifty Fifty’s, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and appearance of our food to ensure our guests receive the best dining experience. In addition to managing food quality, you will be tasked with cooking all fried items. Your efforts contribute significantly to the overall meal experience of our guests. You will work diligently to provide outstanding customer service, making our valued customers feel like part of our Nifty’s family.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prep, set up, and work the expo station
• Maintain product presentation, quality, and cook time standards
• Orchestrate serving food orders from each area of the kitchen to best serve customers
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling in accordance to the state board of health
• Clean and sanitize the work area throughout the shift
• Instruct available servers to deliver completed food orders
• Maintains a clean and sanitized station
• Prepared and cook fried foods
• Clean, strain or change, and dispose of oil for fryers
• Cleaning and changing fryers
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects
• Other additional tasks management may need assistance with

• Ability to place items on high and low shelves
• Ability to stand for long periods of times
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment, fryers, and other preparation materials
• Organization skills
• Carry objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to wipe high and low shelves, pick up debris off the floor, sweep floor in station.
