Job summary

Benevis is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team of clinicians and support staff. You will assist in treatment, prepare operatory rooms, take x-rays where location allows, educate patients, and help ensure a smooth patient flow in a friendly, compassionate environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, experience in oral surgery, endodontics, and sedation dentistry, and CPR-BLS certification; X-ray certification is preferred by state.

Qualifications

• Must-have clinical experience in dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics and sedation dentistry.
• X-ray certification preferred by state practice guidelines.
• CPR-BLS certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Must adhere to government regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through our processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures and assist during treatment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
• Assist with treatment: document patient information and procedure notes.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and sutures during surgical procedures.
• Pour, trim, and polish impression casts; fabricate impression trays.
