Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated service support to sales associates and clients, including order intake, issue resolution, and ongoing communication to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage complex print, promotional product, direct mail, and fulfillment programs for a large retail client.
  • Coordinate and oversee large-scale kitting, assembly, and distribution projects involving multiple components, vendors, and shipping destinations.
  • Manage daily order processing, including accurate data entry of purchase and sales orders in accordance with program and client requirements.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and source products for new and repeat business opportunities, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors to place orders, confirm receipt, and ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery timelines.
  • Track orders from production through delivery using workflow management systems, maintaining visibility and accountability across all stages.
  • Review and verify order acknowledgements for accuracy, including specifications, pricing, artwork, variable data requirements, and shipping dates.
  • Manage direct mail projects, including coordination of mailing lists, data processing, production, postage requirements, and mail distribution schedules.
  • Communicate proactively with sales associates and clients regarding order status, estimated delivery timelines (ETA), inventory levels, and tracking information.
  • Manage inventory-related processes, including documentation, product receipt coordination, and collaboration with inventory and support teams.
  • Monitor and manage backorders, substitutions, and cancellations, ensuring timely communication with vendors and customers.
  • Follow up on aged open orders and partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Support financial processes, including credit memo preparation, accounts receivable follow-up, and resolution of billing discrepancies such as short pays or overpayments.
  • Utilize industry resources to identify new print, promotional, and marketing solutions that support client objectives and business growth.
  • Assist with reporting and analysis, including sales performance, inventory tracking, commission summaries, project status reports, and customer activity updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, sales partners, vendors, and clients to support long-term growth and client retention.
  • Participate in client, vendor, and account strategy meetings, providing recommendations and insights to improve efficiency and program performance.
  • Travel locally within the Nashville area as needed to visit client and vendor locations, attend meetings, review projects, and support account initiatives.

Role Summary

American Solutions for Business (ASB) is seeking an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in print, direct mail, and promotional products to support a high-volume retail client. This position is responsible for delivering quality and efficient support while contributing to the growth of the business through strategic marketing support, product sourcing, and execution of complex print, promotional, and fulfillment projects. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a wide range of print materials including ase displays, posters, banners, signage, direct mail campaigns (including list management and mailing coordination), marketing collateral, and promotional products. Experience managing kitting and fulfillment programs is a must. This individual must excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, possess strong analytical skills, and provide a high level of customer service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus a minimum of four years' experience in the Print and Promotional industry. Preferred: Associate degree in business management, or sales and marketing preferred; as well as four or more years' company or industry experience or an equivalent combination of the two.

Computer Skills: Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, understand computer technology and terms and have experience working with internet based programs and email.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, purchase orders, vouchers and invoices. Must be able to effectively write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with vendors, customers, fellow employees, management and Sales Associates of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
