Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is seeking an energetic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) for Saturday-only shifts at multiple Philadelphia locations. The role requires X-ray certification, an EFDA license, and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic digital x-rays.
• Take impressions and pour models.
• Place fillings and sealants.
• Provide supragingival prophylaxis and fluoride treatments.
• Maintain infection control and assist the Dentist.

Qualified candidates must be proficient in:

• Quality diagnostic digital x-rays
• Impressions and model pouring
• Infection control knowledge
• The ability to adapt and understand the needs of the Dentist
• Must be able to place fillings to restore teeth
• Place sealants
• Provide supragingival prophylaxis and fluoride treatments

Required Experiences and Skills:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and graduated from an accepted dental assisting school
• One year of dental assisting experience, preferred
• X-Ray Certification, required
• EFDA License, required
• CPR Certification, required
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
