Heartland Dental LLC seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) for our Westfield, IN practice. You will chairside assist with a variety of procedures, take and process diagnostic images, and support patient education from start to finish.

The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and patient-first care in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, detail orientation, and Dentrix proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and patient-focused mindset.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to facilitate patient flow throughout the office.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustaining patient comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and charting.
• Prepare treatment rooms adhering to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
