Harmony Pediatric Dentistry in Gresham and Sandy, OR seeks a dedicated dental assistant to join our pediatric team. This full-time role involves EFDA-certified procedures, radiography, sedation support, operatory prep, and creating a fun, comforting environment for kids.

Travel between our local offices is required; we offer a competitive $25.00/hour, PTO, holidays, CE support, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with match, and a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• EFDA and RHS certifications are required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification required (recertification paid).
• Minimum 3 years of pediatric dental assisting experience.
• Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus.
• Role is safety-sensitive; pre-employment drug screen required.
• Positive attitude and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform EFDA-certified restorative procedures and four-handed chairside assisting.
• Take digital dental X-rays (RHS) for pediatric patients.
• Assist during sedation and behavior-management workflows.
• Prepare, sanitize, and turnover operatory per CDC/OSHA/ADA standards.
• Create a fun, anxiety-free environment with high energy and encouragement.

Dr. Marwa specializes in behavior guidance, caring for children with special needs, and advanced sedation options (including N2O and general anesthesia). An active member of the ADA, AAPD, ODA, and AAWD currently completing her MBA, Dr. Marwa loves traveling, hiking, sports, and exploring new local restaurants!

What You’ll Do Every Day (Responsibilities)

• Expanded Functions Clinical Assisting: Perform EFDA-certified restorative procedures, sealant applications, crown placements, and four-handed pediatric chairside assisting.
• Radiography & Imaging: Take high-quality digital dental X-rays (RHS) efficiently while keeping children comfortable.
• Sedation & Special Needs Care: Assist providers during specialized pediatric workflows, including Nitrous Oxide (N2O) and sedation cases.
• Operatory Prep & Sterilization: Prepare, sanitize, and turn over treatment suites while strictly enforcing CDC, OSHA, and ADA safety standards.
• Patient Comfort & High-Fives: Create a fun, anxiety-free atmosphere with high energy, laughter, and tiny high-fives!

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

• Clinical Experience: Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience (pediatric experience preferred!).
• Certifications Required: Valid EFDA and Radiology Health & Safety (RHS) Certifications required.
• BLS/CPR Certified: Active BLS/CPR certification required (we pay for your annual recertification!).
• Software Bonus: Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus!
• Mindset: A positive attitude, growth mindset, collaborative spirit, and a genuine love for making kids' dental visits awesome!
• Safety & Compliance: This position is safety-sensitive; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.
