Job summary

Harmony Pediatric Dentistry in Gresham and Sandy, OR seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to support EFDA-certified procedures, radiography, sedation workflows, and operatory prep for pediatric patients. This full-time role requires 3 years of dental assisting experience, EFDA and RHS certifications, BLS/CPR, and a positive, teamwork-driven mindset.

Travel between Gresham and Sandy offices is required; pay is $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• EFDA and Radiology Health & Safety (RHS) certifications required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification required; annual recertification funded by employer.

Responsibilities

• Expanded Functions Clinical Assisting: EFDA-certified restorations, sealants, crowns, four-handed chairside work.
• Radiography & Imaging: Digital dental X-rays for children.
• Sedation & Special Needs Care: Support during N2O and sedation cases.
• Operatory Prep & Sterilization: Clean, prep, and turnover treatment rooms per CDC/OSHA/ADA.
• Patient Comfort: Create a fun, high-energy, anxiety-free environment.

Dr. Marwa specializes in behavior guidance, caring for children with special needs, and advanced sedation options (including N2O and general anesthesia). An active member of the ADA, AAPD, ODA, and AAWD currently completing her MBA, Dr. Marwa loves traveling, hiking, sports, and exploring new local restaurants!

What You’ll Do Every Day (Responsibilities)

• Expanded Functions Clinical Assisting: Perform EFDA-certified restorative procedures, sealant applications, crown placements, and four-handed pediatric chairside assisting.
• Radiography & Imaging: Take high-quality digital dental X-rays (RHS) efficiently while keeping children comfortable.
• Sedation & Special Needs Care: Assist providers during specialized pediatric workflows, including Nitrous Oxide (N2O) and sedation cases.
• Operatory Prep & Sterilization: Prepare, sanitize, and turn over treatment suites while strictly enforcing CDC, OSHA, and ADA safety standards.
• Patient Comfort & High-Fives: Create a fun, anxiety-free atmosphere with high energy, laughter, and tiny high-fives!

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

• Clinical Experience: Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience (pediatric experience preferred!).
• Certifications Required: Valid EFDA and Radiology Health & Safety (RHS) Certifications required.
• BLS/CPR Certified: Active BLS/CPR certification required (we pay for your annual recertification!).
• Software Bonus: Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus!
• Mindset: A positive attitude, growth mindset, collaborative spirit, and a genuine love for making kids' dental visits awesome!
• Safety & Compliance: This position is safety-sensitive; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.
