Hardin Cosmetic & Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team! As an EFDA, you will work closely with Dr. Hardin and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.

Schedule:

1. Mon 8:30 AM - 5 PM
2. Tues 8:30 AM - 5 PM
3. Wed 8:30 AM - 5 PM
4. Thur 7:30 AM - 4 PM

Job Requirements:

• EFDA Certification in the state of Indiana
• Assisting the dentist during various treatment procedures
• Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Serving as an infection control officer, developing protocol, and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
• Providing post-treatment instructions for oral care
• Teaching patients oral hygiene strategies
• Taking impressions of teeth for study models
• Communicating with patients and suppliers (scheduling, billing, ordering supplies)
• Providing direct patient care across dental specialties
• Performing approved procedures such as amalgam and composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, etc.
• Managing patient flow to optimize the dentist’s schedule
