Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in Murrells Inlet, SC. You will assist dentists, maintain patient flow, manage operatory setup, and ensure sterilization and infection control across procedures.

The ideal candidate has a Dental Assistant license, radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and 2+ years of experience. Responsibilities include charting, radiographs, patient education, and supporting lab work.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license/registration as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Break down operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory; ensure staff training and compliance.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, suction lines, autoclave, and compressor.
• Tray and operatory setup for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors; assist with handoffs.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA regulations and Aspen safety requirements.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Provide post-treatment oral care instructions and hygiene education.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns.
• Monitor management of laboratory cases.
• Perform quality intraoral health scans and impressions.
• Order and maintain supplies within practice budget.
