Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Wayne, PA is seeking a reliable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our warm, professional practice and help deliver excellent patient care daily.

You will assist doctors, maintain a sterile operatory, prep trays, and guide patients from front desk to treatment in a friendly, efficient team.

Ideal candidates have an active PA x-ray license, EFDA certification, and 1+ year of dental experience; Dentrix knowledge is a plus. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on treatment and address individual concerns while promoting the doctor’s strengths.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming operatory; prepare treatment areas and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups for procedures and manage supply levels in each operatory.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• EFDA required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$28.00-$30.00/hour
• Location:Wayne, PA
