Job Opportunity: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) at Silvers Family Dental Care

Join our family-oriented, independently owned dental practice in Harrisburg, PA, as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA). We are seeking an experienced EFDA to help us transition smoothly as we add a new partner in May or June 2025. Initially, the position is for 4 days a week, with flexibility for discussion. We offer a paid working interview to meet our team and ensure a good fit.

Requirements:

• Must have an Expanded Functions Dental Assisting License

Responsibilities include:

• Chairside assisting during dental procedures
• Placing composite restorations, making temporary crowns, and packing cord
• Conducting coronal polishing and applying sealants and fluoride varnish
• Utilizing Open Dental software for patient records (experience helpful but not required)
• Assisting with periodontics, temporary crowns, endodontics, and Invisalign
• Supporting four-handed dentistry
• Demonstrating knowledge of dental terminology
