Job summary

Wyoming Smiles Center in Ohio is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dedicated dental team. The EFDA will perform expanded functions, assist with procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of EFDA experience, strong communication, and reliability. Open Dental experience is preferred, with training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year EFDA experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated, punctual, team player.
• Open Dental experience preferred; training available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during various treatment procedures.
• Perform expanded functions including restorative procedures, coronal polishing, and sealant placement.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient visits.
• Provide chairside assistance and support to the dental team.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure infection control protocol compliance.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and postoperative care.
