Job summary

Access Health Louisiana is seeking an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant to support daily clinical operations. The role includes performing prophylaxis and scaling, chair-side assistance with dentists and hygienists, operating the suction hose, and preparing patients for examinations.

You will also handle radiographs, impressions, instrument sterilization, and maintaining a safe, efficient clinic environment. Experience with scheduling, records, and payments is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Certified Expanded Duty Dental Assistant with ED qualification.
• Current radiography certification.
• CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine prophylaxis (cleanings) and scaling.
• Chair-side assisting with dentists and hygienists; hand materials/tools.
• Operate suction hose to keep patient mouth dry during procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and take X‑rays/impressions.
