Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and completion of an Expanded Duties or Expanded Function Dental Assisting program.
• Current Certification/Registration for Expanded Duties Dental Assisting.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatory and room patient prior to dentist visit, including health history collection.
• Assist dentist with chairside procedures and 4-handed dentistry.
• Obtain radiographic images and load into the electronic dental record.
• Deliver preventive education to patients.
• Determine and schedule follow-up appointments and manage checkout.
• Maintain operatory and dental equipment and cleanliness.
