Job summary

Olde Town Laurel Dental, a Heartland Dental supported office in Laurel, MD, is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our team. You will take and develop X-rays, organize lab equipment, and provide post-operative dental procedures while supporting the dentist's schedule.

The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong manual dexterity, and computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Positive and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Superior knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Good manual dexterity and patient rapport building.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
• Willingness to travel for training, occasionally overnight.
• Dental assisting certificate is a plus; prior dental practice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain lab equipment.
• Take and develop X-rays.
• Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures.
• Support the dentist to maintain the schedule.
