Job summary

Mortenson Dental Partners in Corydon, IN is hiring an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists with quality care. This full-time role offers 32 hours per week, a salary up to $25 per hour based on experience, and a collaborative, patient‑focused team environment.

You will assist with X-rays, sterilization, room prep, and instrument delivery while following CDC/OSHA guidelines. Requirements include EDDA or EFDA certification, radiology and CPR credentials, a high school

Qualifications

• EDDA or EFDA certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Radiology certification required within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Delivers dental care education and quality treatment; assists dentists and hygienists in diagnosis.
• Maintains equipment, manages supplies, and posts patient charges.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Completes clinical notes per practice guidelines before dismissal.
• Prepares treatment room; sterilizes instruments; passes instruments.
• Places and finishes restorations and completes preliminary impressions.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Helps ensure efficient operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, utilizing supplies cost-effectively, and posting patient charges accurately.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing the patient.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, complete preliminary impressions.

Qualifications

• Have your EDDA or EFDA certification
• Have your high school diploma or equivalent
• Obtain your radiology and CPR certification within the required timeframe
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
