Job summary

Cove Dental Care is seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our Greer practice. You will provide chairside support for restorative, surgical, and cosmetic procedures in a modern, prevention-focused setting.

You will handle digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photography, while maintaining sterilization standards and accurate Open Dental documentation. A warm, proactive teammate helps keep patients comfortable and the day running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical dental assisting experience.
• DANB certification preferred; SC Radiology certification required.
• Strong sterilization and OSHA knowledge.
• Calm, organized, and genuinely warm with patients.
• An observant teammate who acts without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance for restorative, surgical, and cosmetic procedures.
• Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photos.
• Set up and break down operatories with proper sterilization.
• Accurately document in Open Dental.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and next steps.
• Support the doctor and team to keep the day on schedule and maintain a high patient experience.

About Cove Dental Care

We're a privately owned, two-location practice in Greer and Easley built around prevention-focused, relationship-based dentistry. We're not corporate, and we have no plans to be. We're growing on our own terms with a leadership team that actually leads, modern tools, and a culture that puts patients and team members first.

Our office is owned and operated by Drs. Adam and Neely Carraway. We're looking for an experienced assistant who wants to settle in long-term and grow with us.

What You'll Do

• GREER office location, Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• Provide chairside assistance for restorative, surgical, and cosmetic procedures
• Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans (we use modern digital workflows), and clinical photos
• Set up and break down operatories with attention to sterilization and infection control
• Document accurately in Open Dental
• Communicate with patients in a way that builds trust — explaining what's happening, what's next, and why it matters
• Support the doctor and the restorative team in keeping the day on schedule and the patient experience exceptional

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
• Confident with four-handed dentistry, digital radiography, and digital impressions
• DANB certification preferred; SC Radiology certification required
• Strong sterilization and OSHA knowledge
• Calm, organized, and genuinely warm with patients
• A teammate — someone who notices what needs doing and does it without being asked
• Open Dental experience is a plus but not required
