Job summary

Kohani Creek Ranch in Texas is seeking an experienced Ranch Manager to oversee a 2,800-acre property focused on native habitat restoration and exotic wildlife. You will supervise 1–2 workers and coordinate daily operations, maintenance, and guest hospitality.

The role requires hands-on oversight of livestock, infrastructure, and prescribed burn activities, with close collaboration with ownership to prioritize tasks and improve ranch operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with African exotics and whitetail deer
• Knowledge of pasture management, weed control, and grazing
• Prescribed burn plan experience preferred
• Ability to manage spreadsheets and electronic records weekly
• Basic mechanical, welding, and plumbing abilities preferred
• Strong communication skills and integrity
• Familiarity with USDA/NRCS programs preferred
• Ability to operate basic farm equipment
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather
• Ability to supervise 1–2 ranch workers and plan workload
• Willingness to work weekends on occasion

Responsibilities

• Livestock: daily inspections, identify treatments, and manage feeding
• Operate ranch equipment for hauling feed and moving gear
• Manage supplements, minerals, inventory, and record-keeping
• Oversee fences, roads, water systems, housing, buildings, and maintenance
• Maintain vehicles, tractors, implements, and feeders
• Participate in brush control activities (shredding, spraying, burning)
• Landscape and exterior improvements around ranch house area
• Oversee pool maintenance and in-home cleaning schedules
• Assist with other ranch activities as directed by ownership
