Job summary

CUSTOM CARS UNLIMITED INC. is a busy automotive restoration facility in the Chicago area. We seek a self-motivated, hard-working individual for frame-off restoration and high-end exotic collision work.

Responsibilities include disassembly/assembly, part logging, collaboration with management to determine reconditioning needs, and maintaining a clean, safe shop. Immediate start; hours 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

Must have strong motivation and goal setting.
Minimum 5 years automotive repair experience.
Attention to detail is crucial for restoration work.
Ability to stay focused over long-term repair processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Solid understanding of automotive mechanical systems.
Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems.
Careful, precise assembly of painted or plated parts.
Familiarity with automotive restoration procedures.
ASE/ICAR certification is a plus.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Valid driver license or right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Disassemble and assemble restoration projects including removal of body components.
Categorize and log parts removed from vehicles for storage.
Work with management to determine actions to recondition or replace parts.
Disassemble and assemble collision work on high-end and exotic vehicles with a restoration mindset.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
