CUSTOM CARS UNLIMITED INC, a busy automotive restoration facility in the Chicago western suburbs, seeks a self-motivated technician with 5+ years of repair experience to join the team. You will disassemble, log parts, and recondition vehicles including exotic and collision work, while maintaining precision and safety throughout.

The role emphasizes restoration procedures, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and a strong focus on meticulous craftsmanship in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• 5+ years automotive repair experience.
• Detail oriented with high attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain focus through long repair processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Knowledge of automotive mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license or US work eligibility.
• Familiar with automotive restoration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble restoration projects including removal of body components.
• Categorize and log parts removed from vehicles for storage.
• Work with management to analyze and determine actions to recondition or replace parts.
• Disassemble and assemble collision work on high-end and exotic vehicles; maintain restoration mindset.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
