Job summary
Top Shelf Exhibits in Orlando, FL is seeking a Technical Designer - Exhibits/Tradeshows to translate concepts into accurate drawings and 3D models that support fabrication and installation.
You will review designs, develop floor plans, BeMatrix structures, and electrical layouts, coordinating with stakeholders to meet schedules. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is required in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in drafting for trade-show exhibits or related industries (architecture, millwork) preferred.
- Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD (2018 or later).
- Ability to convey detailed information through elevation plans and exploded views.
- Strong analytical ability for developing construction methods for varied projects.
Responsibilities
- Attend production launch meetings and provide technical expertise for planning and execution.
- Review 3D designs, renderings, and blueprints for compatibility and quality.
- Create floor plans, setup drawings, and assembly drawings including booth layout and electrical needs.
- Generate BeMatrix pack lists based on approved designs and directions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain information for accurate drawings and documentation.
- Manage priorities to meet project schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Provide cross‑departmental technical support to meet production requirements.
- Maintain proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and related detailing tools.
