Job summary

Liberty Science Center is seeking an Exhibitions Project Manager to oversee logistics, budgets, and timelines for physical exhibitions. You will coordinate internal teams and external vendors to deliver installations on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes strong communication, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and meticulous documentation from bid through completion. A nonprofit museum environment at LSC offers growth and impact across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of project management experience in a museum or similar setting.
• BA/BS in science, engineering, education, or related field; MA/MS preferred.
• Certification in project management (PMI/PMBOK or equivalent).
• Strong exhibition coordination, production, or project management experience in a museum, science center, or related context.
• Experience managing external partnerships or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics, budgets, licenses, and contracts for exhibition projects.
• Coordinate schedules, meetings, and workflows across teams.
• Review bid packages and contracts for vendors (fabrication, multimedia, etc.).
• Ensure quality control through production.
• Develop deliverables for staff, designers, fabricators, and vendors.
• Maintain project documentation including contracts and licensing.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners across divisions.
• Support cross-divisional exhibition initiatives and administrative tasks.
• Demonstrate leadership to foster a collaborative work environment.
