Job summary

The Broad in Los Angeles seeks a collaborative Exhibition Registrar of Special Projects to support planning, coordination, and implementation of assigned projects within its ambitious exhibitions program. This is a full-time, 18-month contract position reporting to the Director of Exhibitions Management and overseeing logistics for temporary exhibitions, rotations, tours, and incoming/outgoing loans.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has strong museum registration and exhibition operations experience.
• Candidates must have excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with handling, packing, shipping, installation, and documentation of artworks.
• Experience coordinating loans, shipping logistics, and exhibition-related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead registrar functions for assigned exhibitions, rotations, and loans.
• Maintain records in EmbARK and other systems; produce checklists, loan agreements, and shipping docs.
• Coordinate correspondence with lenders, partner institutions, couriers, and vendors.
• Plan and oversee packing, shipping, customs, and transportation logistics.
• Supervise art handlers, contractors, couriers, and vendors.
• Prepare condition reports and track artwork locations in collections database.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and planning for exhibitions.
