Job summary

The Orlando Science Center is seeking an Exhibit Technology Specialist to maintain and enhance interactive exhibits, integrating electronics, audio/video, and PC hardware and software. This role splits time between maintaining current exhibits and researching new exhibits and visitor interfaces.

You will document wiring, code, and components, support live events, and contribute to safe, efficient exhibit operations. Proven troubleshooting and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years relevant work experience in exhibit technology.
• Experience with interactive software and hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair exhibits and assist exhibit technicians.
• Develop and document wiring diagrams, code, and components used in exhibits.
• Create and improve maintenance procedures for existing exhibits.
• Develop custom software for microcontrollers and show control systems.
• Assist with audio/visual needs for exhibits, live programming, and events.
• Research and contribute to new exhibits and visitor interfaces.
