Job summary

The Exhibit Technology Specialist at Orlando Science Center is responsible for the maintenance, research, and integration of electronics, audio/video, and PC hardware and software for the exhibits department. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years relevant work experience.

• Ability to read complex wiring diagrams and use varied tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists exhibit technicians with repairs and serves as a knowledge base for the teams.
• Demonstrates expertise across Windows, OS X, and Linux in exhibit systems.
• Diagnoses defects and provides solutions to improve reliability.
• Maintains microcontroller, show control, and audio/video equipment knowledge.
• Develops custom software for microcontrollers and show control systems.
• Documents wiring diagrams, code, and components for new exhibits.
• Supports development of new exhibits and related grant projects.
