Job summary

Orlando Science Center is seeking a part-time Facilitator to guide visitors through exhibit halls, narrate on stage, and lead hands-on activities. The role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service and clearly communicating science concepts to a diverse audience, including children aged 6–12.

Candidates comfortable on stage, on camera, and with interactive demonstrations are ideal. Experience in museums or informal education is preferred, as are improv or theater backgrounds and maker

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Museum experience or informal education is a plus.
• Improv/theater background preferred.
• Maker skills (woodworking, 3D printing, design, textiles, crafts) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate exhibit halls and engage guests.
• Narrate on the microphone and lead activities.
• Deliver exemplary customer service and communicate science concepts through demonstrations.
• Interact effectively with diverse audiences, including children ages 6-12.
