Job summary

Sedgwick County is seeking a Zoo Construction and Maintenance Technician to support the Zoo's facilities. This full-time role performs construction, maintenance and repair, designs and implements projects, and assists with events and snow removal as needed.

You must have a high school diploma, at least two years in facility maintenance or construction, and a valid US driver's license. Preferred candidates have four years of experience or technical certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of professional experience in facility maintenance or construction; electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC are acceptable.
• Valid US driver’s license with proof of automobile insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of zoo facilities and exhibits.
• Help design, plan, and execute projects; update plans as requirements change.
• Assist with events, snow removal, and vehicle operation as needed.
