Ohio History Connection seeks an Exhibit Designer to lead the development of immersive exhibits at the Ohio History Center and related sites. You will steer the design process from concept to installation, collaborating with curators, educators, and staff to deliver engaging, educational experiences.
The role requires a strong background in museum exhibit development, project management, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and related tools.

Salary: $57,200 per year

Summary:
Develops and implements exhibit projects at the Ohio History Center and Ohio Village and across the site network. In conjunction with the department head, this individual oversees a collaborative exhibit development process and articulates a vision for the experiential and aesthetic direction of exhibits as well as management of overall exhibit schedule. Serves as the primary advocate for the visitor experience in exhibits with an eye to establishing an immersive environment that blends engaging activities and visuals with learning outcomes. Works closely with Interpretive and Content Specialists to develop interactives and other tactile exhibit elements. The employee should be professional, self-directed as well as supportive to team projects, OHC mission, core values and have the able to meet deadlines and complete work within a given budget.
