Job summary

Highbar Physical Therapy is actively hiring an Exercise Specialist/Physical Therapy Aide to support PTs and the care team at our Rhode Island clinics. This role involves assisting with patient exercise instruction, room setup, and care plan execution in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field preferred.
• Stand/Walk for extended periods; assist with patient exercise instruction.
• Monitor patient movement to ensure safety, including fall prevention.
• Light lifting or movement of equipment up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the condition and cleanliness of treatment rooms and gym area.
• Assist clinical staff with patient intervention per plan of care as directed by PT/PTA.
• Assist administrative staff with scheduling/rescheduling, answering phones, intake, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; coordinate with clinic director on stock and low items.
