Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital in Utah seeks an Exercise Therapist/Exercise Physiologist assistant to guide and document personalized exercise programs for athletes and diverse client populations.

Under supervision, you will deliver plans in one-to-one and group settings, educate on technique, monitor progress, and keep clear records while maintaining a safe, well‑supplied environment. This role emphasizes teamwork and strong communication in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Experience or education in physiology, sports science, or exercise science.

Job Description:

This position is under the guidance of the Exercise Therapist or Exercise Physiologist. They direct and document exercise programs for athletes and client populations.

Essential Functions

• Delivers exercise plan as outlined in 1:1, small group, and large groups.
• Educates clients regarding exercise technique and appropriate use of equipment.
• Monitors progress and keeps clients progressing through program, updating program as needed.
• Documents results and training in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
• Maintains equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Maintains a clean and inviting work environment according to health department codes and facility standards.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Education or applied experience in the field of physiology, sports science, or exercise science.

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
• Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
• May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
