Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for PRN coverage. The role involves teaching exercise classes, performing fitness testing, and developing individualized exercise programs within the continuum of care.

You will educate patients and families on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and supervise programs, with emergency care per established rehab protocols for adolescent to geriatric patients.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field is required.
• Master's degree in Exercise Science or related field with cardiac health concentration preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement exercise programs within the continuum of care and educate patients and families on healthy lifestyles.
• Supervise exercise programs and deliver emergency medical care per rehab protocols.

Exercise Physiologist, PRN

Required Hours: Weekday evenings ranging from 12:45pm to 9:15pm. Rotating weekends, Saturday 6:45am - 3:45pm and Sunday 11:45am - 5:15pm. Afternoon and evening coverage.

Responsibilities:

Teaching exercise classes, administering fitness testing and developing and implementing exercise programs within the continuum of care. Providing education to patients and families regarding the benefits of an exercise/healthy lifestyle. Able to perform supervision of exercise programs and deliver emergency medical care utilizing established protocols for adolescent, adult and geriatric cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, Adult Health & Fitness, or related field Required
• Master's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, Adult Health & Fitness with concentration in cardiac health Preferred
