Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Senior Vice President, Supplier Relations in McKinney, TX, a hybrid role with up to 30% travel.

You will lead the supplier ecosystem, negotiate major terms, and drive end-to-end inventory strategies to improve margins and service levels. You will shape supplier performance, leverage analytics, and collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Sales to align with growth plans and category expansion.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in building products, construction materials, industrial distribution, or manufacturing.
• Proven success negotiating high-value contracts and leading large teams.
• Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional data (supply, demand, cost, risk, margin, working capital) into strategic insights.
• High emotional intelligence with strong executive presence and influence skills.
• Apply scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to assess different supplier strategies and terms.
• Proven ability to build high-performance, customer-centric teams.
• Effective change leadership with large-scale transformation experience.
• Strong financial acumen in pricing, rebates, and margin optimization.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement platforms, and supplier technology tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise supplier-relations and inventory strategies that support growth and profitability.
• Lead end-to-end inventory management, aligning replenishment, production planning, and lead-times with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Category, Sales, and Operations to forecast demand and optimize inventory.
• Drive cost savings, margin expansion, and rebate optimization through strategic negotiations and category management.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and executive supplier meetings.
• Build and sustain high-performing supplier partnerships with scorecards and SLAs.
