Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Vice President of Mechanical Engineering in Los Angeles to lead growth and delivery of our Mechanical Engineering practice across Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education, and Civic sectors. This role combines technical leadership with business development to expand market share and deliver landmark projects.

The candidate will mentor teams, drive sustainable design initiatives, and ensure excellence in client service, project execution, and compliance across Southern

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience with leadership.
• Experience leading Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education, or Civic projects.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex portfolios.
• Knowledge of HVAC, sustainable design, energy efficiency, building performance.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth initiatives for the Mechanical Engineering practice in Southern California.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, universities, developers, architects, and contractors.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and major project pursuits.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish growth strategies and market priorities.
• Lead proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations.
