Job summary

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a strategic Vice President of Early Childhood and School-Age Services to lead a broad portfolio across Greater Cincinnati. You will shape program strategy, ensure quality, oversee home visiting, early education, and after-school services, and partner with funders and community stakeholders to advance impact.

The role requires senior nonprofit leadership, budget oversight, regulatory compliance, and staff development across multiple programs.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent; nonprofit leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years leadership in a nonprofit; multi-program oversight preferred.
  • Experience with program planning, budgeting, and administrative operations.
  • Experience with grant development, fundraising, or identifying additional funding opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of program quality, regulatory compliance, and performance management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to build diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally in external settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Early Childhood and School-Age Services department.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of early childhood, home visiting, early education, and after-school programs.
  • Research and implement evidence-based models and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for quality and fidelity.
  • Monitor needs of children, families, funders, and partners and translate into improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and sustainability.
  • Provide interim leadership to programs when needed.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on new programs, pilots, and growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and funders.
  • Represent Best Point through events, committees, and speaking engagements.
  • Promote extraordinary customer service and collaboration internally and externally.
  • Oversee annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and adjust forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve efficiency.
  • Lead or support grant management and proposals for awarded funding.
  • Directly supervise program managers and staff; foster high performance.
  • Develop leaders through supervision, coaching, and professional development.
  • Ensure supervisors maintain strong program operations and resource alignment.
  • Communicate organizational priorities clearly and consistently.
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategy and opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor key performance measures for programs and staff.
  • Use data to evaluate program effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, accreditation, and standards.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.
