Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced VAS Executive Vice President to independently prepare market value appraisals on real estate assets with review by a MD.

You will contribute to growing the hotel advisory and valuation platform across the United States and Caribbean, while ensuring professional standards and client service. The role requires a BA/BS, 12+ years of commercial appraisal experience, MAI designation, and strong analytical and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of commercial appraisal experience (U.S. & Caribbean ideal).
• General State Certification/License and MAI designation required.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents; write reports clearly.
• Strong knowledge of real estate terms and value approaches.
• Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills for a growing matrix-based environment.
• Ability to sell substantial work to self and team.

Responsibilities

• Identify value to be estimated by discussing scope with client.
• Determine valuation method by selecting approaches for property valuation.
• Research and analyze property data, inventory, sales, vacancies and listings.
• Prepare appraisal reports with procedures, data and supporting reasoning.
• Maintain USPAP compliance and confidentiality of information.
• Collaborate on client development and database/library enhancements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
