Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Vice President of Valuation and Advisory Services in Charleston to lead appraisal projects for small to medium properties. You will prepare detailed appraisal reports, collect market data, and communicate findings to clients.

Strong technical skills and a commitment to USPAP standards are essential. The role requires 8+ years of commercial appraisal experience, a BA/BS, and state certification; MAI designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 8 years of commercial appraisal experience and 3 years of commercial appraisal review experience.
• Master’s degree or Institutional review experience preferred.
• General State Certification or License is required. MAI designation preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Identify the value of a property for estimate through a detailed appraisal analysis and determine business solutions.
• Collect data on inventory of comparable properties, sales, listings, vacancies, etc.; conduct market studies.
• Prepare appraisal reports describing property characteristics, procedures, and information evaluated.
• Disclose assumptions, conditions, and reasoning; follow USPAP standards.
• Communicate with clients about appraisal requests, problems, and project scope.
• Track the value of real estate and potential development for properties.
