Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Senior Vice President, Accounting to lead the company’s accounting strategy across a multi-site organization, with responsibility for financial reporting, controls, consolidation, tax, and shared services.

Reporting to the CFO, this executive role requires deep technical accounting expertise, executive presence, and the ability to drive change across the finance function and with external auditors. Cincinnati, OH area preferred with remote/hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Active CPA designation.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Experience leading accounting within a large, multi-site, and/or global organization.
• Deep expertise in financial reporting and U.S. GAAP.
• Extensive experience managing external audits and complex accounting matters.
• Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
• Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise accounting organization, establishing strategy, governance, operating standards, and accountability.
• Own the global close and consolidation process, driving disciplined monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements and disclosures to SEC‑company standards, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Serve as the organization’s senior technical accounting authority on acquisitions, integrations, complex transactions, and evolving standards.
• Establish and govern enterprise accounting policies, procedures, and the Company’s chart of accounts.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance, improving controls, risk management, documentation, and accountability.
• Lead relationships with external auditors, including audits, compliance reviews, and technical matters.
• Provide financial reporting, governance, and accounting leadership to the CFO, executive leadership, Audit Committee, lenders, and other stakeholders.
• Provide executive oversight for Corporate Accounting, Tax, Shared Services, Cash Management, Consolidation, and related functions.
• Lead through a matrixed environment, guiding divisional finance leaders and plant controllers.
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership on acquisitions, integrations, strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and growth priorities.
• Develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing accounting and finance organization.
