Job summary

North Oaks Health System is seeking a Vice President of Facility Operations and Development to lead facilities management, plant operations and construction across the system. This executive role requires strategic leadership, budget oversight, and regulation compliance to ensure safety and reliability of all facilities.

The VP will guide the Plant Operations and Construction leadership team, optimize capital projects, and align initiatives with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, facilities management, construction management or related field.
• Professional certification in facilities and/or construction management (ASHE) within 12 months.
• Minimum 5 years of facilities, construction projects and staff management experience.
• Experience reviewing pay applications and change orders.
• Proficient in construction methods, preventive maintenance, life safety and infection prevention.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and policy implementation.
• Ability to interpret plans and drawings.
• Excellent analytical, financial and project management skills.
• Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to master other software as needed.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: develop and implement long-range goals for facilities management and construction.
• Operational oversight: manage budgets, scopes, schedules and vendor relations.
• Quality, safety and compliance: ensure regulatory and safety program alignment across facilities.
• Lead and mentor an interprofessional management team and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee construction project proposals, costs and multi-year capital forecasts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, facilities management, construction management or related field

Master’s Degree preferred in engineering, business, healthcare administration or related field
