Job summary

Jordan Sitter in the United States seeks an Executive Vice President of Emergency Preparedness and Response to lead the organization’s response enterprise from San Antonio, TX. This senior role directs activations, deployments, and preparedness initiatives for a mission-driven organization and oversees a broad portfolio of operations.

You will be second-in-command to the President, supervise four functional leaders, and coordinate with government agencies, healthcare partners, and communities.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive leadership, including at least seven at the senior or executive level.
• Proven command of emergency operations and large-scale deployments in life-safety settings.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets, personnel, and performance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's preferred.
• Mandatory: ICS-100, 200, 300, 400 and IS-700, IS-800.
• Emergency Medical Responder certification or higher at hire or within one year.
• Preferred: CEM, FEMA professional development, continuity of operations training, PMP.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours and travel with limited notice.

Responsibilities

• Serve as second-in-command and principal advisor to the President, and lead the organization in the President's absence.
• Direct activations, deployments, and planned events, serving as incident commander or executive coordinator and face of operations.
• Lead preparedness and planning: emergency operations, continuity, contingency plans, exercises, after-action improvement.
• Oversee logistics and resource readiness across fleet, facilities, equipment, communications, and supplies.
• Build a qualified reservist cadre through readiness data and modern tools.
• Set goals, budgets, and performance measures for four functional leaders and teams; develop future operational leaders.
• Represent the organization with government agencies, healthcare and nonprofit partners, and community leaders.
