Qualifications

• Ten+ years of progressive leadership, including 7+ years at senior/executive level in emergency management or related fields.
• Proven command of emergency operations, significant incidents, or large-scale deployments in life-safety settings.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets, personnel, and organizational performance.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred; professional certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Serve as second-in-command and principal adviser to the President, leading the organization in the President's absence.
• Direct activations, deployments, and planned events, serving as incident commander or in executive coordination roles.
• Lead preparedness and planning: emergency operations, continuity, contingency plans, exercises, and after-action improvements.
• Oversee logistics and resource readiness across fleet, facilities, equipment, communications, and supplies.
• Build a qualified, credentialed reservist cadre through systematic readiness data and modern tools.
• Set goals, budgets, and performance measures for four functional leaders and their teams; develop the next generation of operational leaders.
• Represent the organization with government agencies, healthcare and nonprofit partners, and community leaders.
