Job summary

NextGen Healthcare seeks a Vice President of Clinical Affairs & Patient Safety to serve as the authoritative clinical voice across the NextGen Health IT portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this executive leads Clinical Center of Excellence, enterprise patient safety governance, and cross-functional product partnerships across development, implementation and commercialization.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted U.S. medical license in good standing.
• Board Certification in a recognized medical specialty (ABMS or AOA).
• 10+ years in clinical practice and HIT/digital health.
• 5+ years in executive or senior clinical leadership in EHR/vendor or health system.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive clinical leadership for clinical efficacy, patient safety and governance across NextGen products.
• Direct the Clinical Center of Excellence (CCoE) and scale a multidisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Oversee enterprise patient safety governance and CID program.
• Ensure integration of clinical insights into product roadmaps and design.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Legal and R&D.
• Represent NextGen to clients, regulators and industry bodies on safety and quality standards.
