Job summary

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data center or mission critical construction with a GC
• Track record of winning work and existing relationships with hyperscale/colocation owners
• Experience leading large programs across multiple sites or regions with growth, risk and margin responsibility
• Strong preconstruction knowledge: pursuits, design-assist, long-lead equipment and procurement
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams

Responsibilities

Executive Vice President - Mission Critical (Confidential Search)

Harris & Co has been engaged to find an Executive Vice President of Mission Critical for a highly respected, family-led general contractor. The company is an ENR Top 100 builder with more than 75 years of history and a footprint across multiple states.

The company is already delivering data centers for hyperscale and colocation clients. It is now investing to make Mission Critical one of its leading markets. This is a seller-doer role: you'll win the work, build the relationships and make sure the projects are delivered well.

The role

• Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and set the strategy for the company's data center and mission critical business
• Win and grow relationships with hyperscale, colocation and enterprise clients
• Work with the regional presidents, preconstruction and operations teams to pursue, price and deliver large data center programs

• Decide which work to pursue and which to turn down, based on the team's capacity, risk and margin
• Build and develop the leadership team as the business grows

What you'll bring

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary of $300K-$375K, depending on experience
