Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a differentiated network of exceptional leadership talent across various functions, with a focus on individuals who excel in high-ambiguity, high-impact environments.
• Partner with Greylock founders, investors, and search partners to drive the most critical executive searches, ensuring clarity on role definition, candidate signals, and the bar for excellence.
• Identify rising leaders and proactively surface top profiles to the investment team and founders.
• Assess candidates holistically across experience, leadership style, character, rate of learning, and long-term potential to guide founders toward thoughtful, high-conviction decisions.
• Expand Greylock’s ecosystem by creating meaningful, trust-based connections between executives, founders, and investors.

Experience

• 6-10+ years of recruiting experience in high-growth technology environments, with a track record of partnering with senior leaders on Executive, Product, or Engineering searches.
• Deep understanding of early-stage dynamics and what “exceptional” looks like in zero-to-one leaders.
• Collaborative and great attitude. Nothing is beneath anyone on the team.
• Learner's mindset: comfortable with feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to earn the trust of founders, executives, and investors through clarity of thought, intellectual honesty, and sound judgment.
• High EQ with the ability to navigate complex personalities and situations with maturity and discretion.
• A builder’s mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in creating structure, and energized by helping founders scale.
• Detail-oriented and able to leverage various systems for efficiency.
• Proven ability to maintain strong, long-term relationships with top-tier executive talent.
• Experience in both search-firm and in-house settings is valuable, but not required.
