GEICO is seeking a highly motivated Executive Support Engineer to provide direct support for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Director+. Help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of technology and executive-level support requirements. The Executive Support Engineer will ensure that our ELT and Sr Director+ leaders can perform their roles efficiently and effectively, with minimal technical interruptions.
Position Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide prompt, high-quality technical support to ELT members, addressing hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to executive operations. Set up and maintain laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for executives (Microsoft Office, Mac OS, iOS, Webex, Zoom, Slack, VoIP, Active Directory, Azure, Azure DevOps, MFA, AV support). Support IT projects, office moves, data recovery, hardware/software testing. Provide off-hours on-call and travel as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Tech team to ensure seamless support and integration of executive technology needs. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Technology Management: Develop a strategic support plan and technology roadmap for leadership. Manage and maintain executive IT equipment, including AV setup for meetings. Monitor and maintain licenses and subscriptions.
- Proactive Support: Anticipate and address potential technical issues. Conduct regular maintenance and updates. Provide training on new technologies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records, generate reports on support activities, and update SOPs related to executive support.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years' experience supporting executives/C-suite.
- At least 5 years' experience with Microsoft 365, Office for Mac, Teams, Webex, Zoom, Slack, Active Directory, Windows, Mac environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of computing devices, operating systems, software administration.
- Experience with VOIP, mobile tech, networks.
- Certifications: CompTIA (IT Fundamentals+, A+, Network+, Cloud+, Security+), Microsoft (Azure Fundamentals, MTA, Windows, Networking, Security, Programming), Apple (Support Professional, IT Professional), cybersecurity knowledge.
Annual Salary: $100,450 - $157,850. Salary depends on experience, education, and location.
