Aramark is seeking an Executive Sous Chef at Western Carolina University. The role involves developing and executing innovative culinary solutions that meet high standards for production, presentation, and service. A strong culinary background and advanced techniques are essential to ensure exceptional food preparation, presentation, and service.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily culinary operations and special events
  • Maintain culinary standards for food preparation, presentation, and service
  • Train and manage culinary staff to ensure best practices
  • Coach employees to understand goals and methods
  • Recognize and reward staff performance
  • Maintain staff records including training, checklists, and performance data
  • Develop client and guest relationships
  • Monitor regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Focus on margin improvement through data and inventory management
  • Ensure food quality and safety standards are upheld
  • Manage waste, menus, recipes, and labor standards according to Operational Excellence
  • Accurately estimate food needs for requisitions and purchases
  • Maintain proper equipment operation and safety standards
  • Comply with food safety, quality assurance, and safety policies
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, rules, and regulations
