Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead hands-on meal preparation and mentor kitchen teams. You will collaborate with the Chef Manager and front- and back-of-house staff to deliver a hospitality-forward dining program that exceeds resident expectations.

You'll drive event menus, ensure recipe consistency, and maintain safety standards while coordinating orders and production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary or food management training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years cooking with progressive responsibility in a high-volume setting.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food service in the absence of Chef Manager and supervise kitchen staff scheduling.
• Maintain recipe consistency and adapt menus for events while upholding standards.
• Enhance resident and guest satisfaction through quality meal prep and service.
• Place and manage weekly food orders and production schedules.
• Train staff on safety, food handling, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Collaborate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, coaching, and scheduling.
