Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for the efficient operation of the main kitchen, including Banquet and Outlet services. Assists the Executive Chef in food operations, purchasing, and maintaining compliance with policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all hotel policies and service standards are met within budget.
  2. Assist in budgeting and control food costs and payroll.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  4. Ensure guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations.
  5. Oversee purchasing, receiving, and storage standards.
  6. Evaluate product quality and manage wastage.
  7. Inspect food service sections during operations to uphold standards.
  8. Manage equipment and schedule maintenance.
  9. Innovate cuisine and stay updated with food trends.

Qualifications

  1. Customer service experience; administrative experience preferred.
  2. Ability to adapt quickly and stay organized.
  3. Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Neat grooming and adherence to dress code.
  5. Associate degree or higher in Culinary Arts preferred.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related programs.
  7. Strong communication skills.
  8. Minimum 5 years in a senior culinary management role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  9. Restaurant experience, including server training and tastings, preferred.
  10. Serve Safe certification required.
