Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building technologies, seeks a Social Media Manager to own how its senior executives appear on LinkedIn and other channels. You will craft authentic voices for leaders, develop strategies, and manage planning, publishing, and measurement with cross‑functional teams.

You will work with executive communications, investor relations, legal, brand and talent teams to ensure compliant, credible content that elevates leadership visibility and aligns with enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in social media, executive communications, corporate communications, journalism or related field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with ability to write authentically in different leaders' voices.
• Experience writing for senior executives and managing social content.
• Knowledge of disclosure and compliance considerations for public-company executives.
• Hands-on command of social media tools and analytics (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, LinkedIn).

Responsibilities

• Develop executive social strategies for Johnson Controls' senior leaders.
• Write posts, articles, and short-form content in distinct executive voices.
• Edit and translate company news and leadership perspectives into engaging social content.
• Own editorial planning and publishing across executive channels.
• Coordinate with Legal, Investor Relations and Communications for approvals.
• Monitor engagement and measurement to optimize strategies.
