Job summary

LHH in Overland Park, KS seeks an Executive Recruiter to own full lifecycle recruiting for finance and accounting roles, partnering with clients to define hiring needs and drive new business.

Are you a driven and entrepreneurial professional with a passion for sales and recruitment? We are seeking an Executive Recruiter to join our team in Overland Park, KS. This role involves executing the full life cycle of direct hire recruiting for top-tier, mid- to senior-level professional positions within Finance and Accounting. You will partner with clients to define strategic objectives and hiring needs, develop client accounts, and generate new business through various marketing methods.   • Develop client accounts and generate new business through candidate and client leads, referrals, and various forms of marketing.
  • Partner with clients to analyze hiring needs, determine the best recruiting methods, and create and deploy client and role‑specific strategic recruiting strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of leading industry trends and recruiting best practices.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on target industries, clients, and roles.
  • Review resumes and conduct behavioral‑based interviews and competency‑based evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and negotiate fee agreements with clients; complete appropriate correspondence for each placement.
  • Visit clients’ offices to gain a full understanding of their goals and objectives.
  • Achieve Direct Hire fees per budgeted goals.
  • Maintain and track assignment and candidate data in various tracking and order systems.
  • Develop and execute temporary employee programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both passive and active candidates.
  • Maintain a network of industry contacts through participation in professional and trade associations and other professional networking organizations.
  • Build relationships with key clients and business leaders.
  • Respond to and address a variety of candidate, temporary employee, and client inquiries.
  • Manage candidate hiring and onboarding processes in accordance with client and organizational requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience within the recruiting industry; ideally performing both client business development and recruiting mid‑to‑senior level candidates.
  • If no recruiting industry experience, then minimum of two (2) years relevant industry experience is strongly preferred which includes public accounting or corporate finance/accounting experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to focus on client needs with a commitment to quality and customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems through recommending and implementing creative solutions.
  • Demonstrate business acumen and market insight.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and understand employment‑related laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Knowledge of current sourcing and recruiting trends, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management Systems and/or related tools.

Compensation:

There is a base salary for this role depending on experience in the industry + unlimited commission. This role offers a non‑recoverable draw plus commission structure.

Available paid leave includes paid time off, parental leave, and holiday pay.
