Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a seasoned Executive Protection Lead to coordinate, schedule, and lead protective services for the CEO and senior executives. The role includes travel briefings, on- and off-site security coordination, and a commitment to maintaining safe environments during events and public appearances.

The position primarily operates during standard business hours, with occasional evenings for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Business, Public Administration or related field.
• At least seven years in a public safety role and seven years in executive protection duties.
• Experience with Federal and State use-of-force statutes and security program knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel with short notice and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services for the CEO and other executives.
• Evaluate threats and coordinate response with security or law enforcement.
• Lead executive protection staff and supervise risk assessments.
• Plan and coordinate on- and off-site security for events and visits.
• Develop relationships to facilitate safe travel and appearances.
